Scott represents small businesses and entrepreneurs across construction, real estate, labor and employment, and corporate matters — centralized in Southern California, with clients throughout the state — structuring transactions and agreements to withstand disputes from the outset, and litigating decisively when a dispute can’t be avoided.
Scott was born in Denver, Colorado, and raised in Southern California. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration, with a minor in Sociology, from San Diego State University, before receiving his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego. In law school, he was an active participant in the Innocence Project and served as a research assistant to Cal Western Law Professor Robert DeKoven. He also interned with United States Pre-Trial Services and worked as a project manager for a construction company, where he gained hands-on experience in nearly every aspect of a construction project — experience that continues to inform how he advises owners and contractors today.
Scott maintains a general civil litigation practice focused on business, real estate, labor and employment, and construction disputes, both public and private, alongside transactional work spanning contracts and agreements, business transactions, and corporate formation, maintenance, and transactions. His approach is grounded in the belief that most disputes are best prevented, not litigated: he works closely with small business owners and entrepreneurs to structure their contracts and operations to withstand pressure from the outset, and he litigates decisively and efficiently when a dispute can’t be avoided.
