Anne represents small businesses and entrepreneurs across labor and employment and corporate matters — centralized in Southern California, with clients throughout the state — helping clients structure sound agreements from the outset and providing skilled representation when litigation becomes necessary.
Anne was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and grew up in Southern California. She completed her undergraduate study at the University of California, Santa Barbara, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Law & Society, before receiving her Juris Doctorate from Chapman University School of Law in Orange, California. In law school, Anne was deeply committed to public interest work: she served as President of the Animal Law Society, a student chapter of the Animal Legal Defense Fund; provided legal assistance to victims of domestic violence through the Chapman Family Violence Clinic; and worked as a research assistant to Professor Timothy A. Canova during his tenure as the law school’s Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. She was twice recognized with a CALI “Excellence for the Future” Award for her class-leading coursework in the Family Violence Clinic and in Criminal Procedure.
Anne maintains a general civil litigation practice focused on business, labor and employment, and public interest matters, with transactional experience in contracts and agreements, business transactions, and corporate formation, maintenance, and transactions. She remains active in the emerging field of animal law. Anne brings the same care she developed representing vulnerable clients in law school to her work for small business owners and entrepreneurs today — listening closely, structuring agreements that hold up under pressure, and advocating firmly when a matter proceeds to litigation.
